There are still standard sizes, even for hand-cut issues. For any hand cut card to receive a number grade, it must be cut right along the dotted lines and generally should still show part of the dotted line on it's lateral edges.
Not saying that I agree wit the policy, but I agree with it to some extent insofar as it helps ensure uniformity among cards that receive number grades. Otherwise, you could theoretically crop any existing strip card and send it in for a massive grade increase. There have to be standard sizes. |
