Thanks for that list.
As far as the different card stock thickness, I would surmise that the thinner stock came as a perforated mail in set and the thicker stock was from the packaged material inserted into cereal boxes. Just a guess, I don't know if this particular year even had the mail in option but if they did then it could be like the early 80's topps team leader sheets, they were made from a thinner stock than the regular issued cards.

I'll have to dig my mail in set out sometime. I'm not sure if it's 79.
I don't recall it coming on thinner stock, but I think that was the year it came as 4 card panels. Die cut, and they generally fell apart. Mine is still in the shipping box, I just have to find it. I got send away sets a few times. Steve B |

I've read that there were two different print runs of the factory set that helped set up these variations. The two or three factory sets that I opened all have the thicker cards on the more yellowed card stock. I've seen unopened packs on the thinner stock.
I will search to see if I have any unopened packs with the thicker, more yellow stock. |
