I agree that it is his and he is more than welcome to list it at whatever he wants. And to not have anyone comment about his asking price. Banging on a seller for what they are asking for a card is bad form and should be avoided.
His sales pitch is a little dodgy as there are comparisons out there and ways to create a base for a price. On a side note I have yet to understand why, many times on many card forums I frequent, no price is ever listed. I don't understand that. Out a price on it and post it for sale. It would be nice if a set of forum selling guidelines were posted for the community to follow. It has worked well at the CGC comics marketplace.
