That Stottlemyre 8 haunts me daily, but not nearly as much as my lack of an April Bole card (until today.....YAY).

Congrats once again, Bob (on the April pickup as well!)! For whatever reason, I never realized the scope and breadth of your collection until recently. This must be a testament to your modesty, because your collection is amazing.

Default Congratulations Bob!

Much deserved. If they only truly understood how tough some of those cards were!! Great job. Enjoy the spotlight. Thanks again for all your wonderful contributions to this board.

Default April Bole

....little April had eluded Bob, a lot of others, for quite awhile.

Larry...you need to start on that set soon :-)

Bob's knowledge and collection are only surpassed by his generosity. A well deserved honor.

Since I know that Al has only just started this beast, here are scans of all of the '71 Winners not named April:

Default 71 winners

bob
if you were a real collector...you would track down all 15 kids who are now in their 50s and get the cards autographed...now that would be impressive

Awesome set Bob and congrats on finishing it....I saw the April Bole ending yesterday....I suppose the days of picking one of these 15 cards up for about $10 each at the Natl maybe over(as a previous net54 thread mentions). Good luck on the autos!

Congrats Bob.

Mostly for finding "April", to which your collection ranks a close second.
