I wouldn't worry about the authenticity here, but I would worry about the quality of the autograph. If it's this faded now, what will it look like in another 5 years?

Agreed. Bench (and many others) are entering Bob Feller territory so OU can find a much nicer example somewhere else.

I would only worry about signitures when they cost more than the ball they are signed on.

Ok thanks guys. That guy has sold a few other Bench balls that were in better shape that ended up around $50. MLB auction has a nice one for like $105 including shipping and a case. Have any of you purchased anything from that particular seller before?

There can be and are errors and discrepancies in the UD, MLB, Steiner databases. Sometimes an item isn't listed as they haven't updated the date yet, and MLB often plays it conservative and lists a game used item as 'team issued.' A minor discrepancy in detail often doesn't signify something wrong, I assume the data is typed in by hand.
