That ball is exactly like mine that I ordered from JC Penny in the early 90's with a scoreboard cert. I actually bought two of them then (one for me and my brother) but still have one of them. They were both signed off center on the sweet spot like that as well.

sorry for the pic, it was taken years ago with crappy camera...
The other one that my brother had was even more off centered of sweet spot.

Does anybody still have the catalog from JC Penny with all of the items they sold? Were they all authentic? I have purchased a few items over the years that I was told were purchased from them so would like to see them listed to verify...
