Its not uncommon for the brandings to fade , depending on the year the ball was made, I've seen 1960's and 1970's baseballs that still had relatively strong signatures but weak branding.
Also Ruth signed with a very heavy hand , which explains too why on so many team balls from the era his signature is often the boldest. That being said it IS pretty bold on that ball ....so would need to be examined more closely before making a trip to the bank.
