guys thanks for all the insight i think i may just try and attempt this set. Doesn't seem like anything is crazy expensive in a low grade so. I do have one question though...Reprints any tips??? i really prefer buying graded but are there ways to discover if it is a reprint

About 2 years ago, I purchased a major find of 82 Mayos---I had them all graded by SGC--There are some tough variations--Also I find the Delahanty card to be one of the most desired cards--I had 3 of them all sold now--I have around 20 left--with around 10 HOF's---I post them on Net 54 every now and then---I still have Cap Anson SGC 20----most of my cards now are SGC 20 to SGC 40----It is a great set and tough to find in nice condition due to black borders and thickness of card.--Good Luck, Don

Don,
What were the variations you had & sold? Re: the other question - I do not imagine reprints would be overly difficult to spot due to the black border & the wear around the edges. I sure there are some. Z Wheat |

Z. Wheat--The varitations I had and sold were Dan Brouthers (Balt. & Louisville shirts)---Ewing (Cinn & Clev. shirts)--Glasscock Louisville & Pitt. shirts---Haddock (Phil & no team shirt)--Pfeffer (2nd base and retired--tough one) Russie correct name and mispelled---that is what I remember I still have a Russie mispelled----Don
