They seem to include postcards as rookie cards.

Phil's 1st list is also great, but hasn't been updated since 2010. His second list is major league only (I think), and was last updated in 2011. But maybe it's up-to-date - I don't know.

I'd be more interested in a list of cards that we're issued during the players major league career, AND is a card depicting him on the team he entered the HOF.
Sorry, but something like a 1946 Newark team photo of Berra has zero interest for me. I don't understand how something like that is more meaningful than a 1948 Bowman card of him with the Yankees for an HOF collector. |

I would use the Old Cardboard Rookie "Card" (should say "Pre-Rookie and Rookie Collectible") list and ignore everything you don't feel that qualifies as a card (i.e. stamps, buttons, stickers, photo's, etc.). I believe every HOF'er has at least one real card listed.

My only issue is that the oldcardboard site hasn't been updated in a while and does not include all team pc's. I have at least 5-10 addendums I could make.
But I agree it's a great starting point, w/ Phil's list as a secondary reference. My site (haves plus wants) would get someone pretty far as well.

Agree with Derek. The OldCardboard list is quite outdated. That list was created by Phil, here is his updated list that was posted on this site..
http://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=141603 that combined with the "earliest collectibles" link, that Derek posted earlier. Which is another of Phil's lists. Make for great references. And honestly, I generally scour Derek's image event page quite often as a reference too.. |
