Check-out Lefty O'Doul's phenomenal Phillies seasons
Circa 1928-29 Photo from The Phillies Encyclopedia. Same photo that Goudey used to create their 1933 (Hi #) card #232
of Lefty O'Doul. The Phillies traded Lefty to the Dodgers for the 1931 season....citing that they needed pitching. This has to be one of the dumbest trades in BB history. Lefty O'Doul's stats during his 2-year tenure with the Phillies. They are very, very impressive. Furthermore, they are the best in his 11-year career.
