Default I hope

The Baseball Hall Of Fame picked up the Ebbets Field Model.
That was a work of art.
If I remember I think everything is donated?

I was able to pick up one of my "white whale" cards that I have been looking for for nearly a decade but have never had the opportunity to purchase one (I always hoped it wouldn't get any much publicity until I was able to pick one up). I was willing to go MUCH higher but it was pretty well hidden in a larger lot so I am really happy.

He has almost always been simply listed as "Graham" or even "Peaches Graham" in most checklists but this card is in fact the only known individual card of "Field of Dreams" subject ARCHIBALD "MOONLIGHT" GRAHAM (who was played by Burt Lancaster).

Default major happiness

in the Moses household as I woke up fulling expecting to be outbid on the Old Judge banner. With juice it hammered at least 1000. less than I expected. Despite my reluctance to do so based on so many discussions here and in the free market - I had to sleep and executed a "left" bid only 2 bids above my final winning bid. I "won" it at my initial amount. It is elegent and refined as well as rare and historically significant - at least to me. Yeah!!!

Josh, nice pickup, I licked that release card a lot.

Leon, nice e107, I always think that card is of cyclist Tyler Hamilton.

Great catch Rhett! Heck of a pickup.

Nice Premium Greg, was a steal. Do you have two now or is this a replacement one?

Replacement. For the price, I couldn't let it go, thought I would be outbid but wasn't

Greg, that was a great deal. I'm moving, so couldn't justify bidding on an item that large, but I was pleased with this:

I got this 1933 Yankees ball signed by Ruth and Gehrig (and others). It's pretty light but it worked for my price range, so I'll be quite happy with it!

My two pickups from last night's auction. I previously had a '33 Delong Gehrig that I had to part with in order to fund a trip to Easter Island. Hasn't been an easy replacement. The Jackie replaces one I sold to Greg Schwartz years ago (Ok, 5 or 6), and I have been kicking myself for selling it ever since. The market for Jackie's rookie has obviously changed since then.

Yes, Robinson rookie cards have seemingly shot up in price overnight -- but how about the fact that the SGC 60 went for as much as the SGC 84? And the 84 is a nice 84.

I think the SGC 60 kind of falls into the same category as the 38 Goudeys...

Robinson cards have definitely shot up in the past 7-9 months.

Thanks again guys. There were two printings of the Mayos over a two year period. One printing resulted in more of a black/white image while the other was more brownish than black. The former, which this card is an example of, always have sharper images.

Nice pick-up. As I recall, your home almost qualifies as a museum already, with that wall of T206s.

Gentlemen, I am making a conscientious effort to wax a little less enthusiastically when it comes to these pick up threads. But let me say this. After spending many hours perusing the latest REA catalog, both the hard copy and the online one (with all my watch-listed cards), I am very happy to see so many of those beautiful pieces finding their way to some really great owners. In the coming weeks, I can only imagine the myriad of smiles that will be popping up all over the country when your winnings arrive. Congratulations to you all, and to REA for what looks to be another rousing success!

Wow, congratulations! I own two Wolf models and was an underbidder on the Ebbets field model.

The two models are the highlight of my collection.

You will love the model.

I'm guessing you can thank Brian Dwyer for that. His customer service has always been a notch above the rest.

Default I will say Lee Behrens

Is just as good as B.D. I have had cases of check clearing on a Tuesday and package at home two days later. Lee rocks hard with the deliveries and at a fair price as well

I was glad to pick up the E90-2 Pirates team set.

I have the Wagner in a higher grade, but this is my personal all-time favorite Wagner card (love the rich blue background) and I've been wanting the team set anyway.

By the way - if the buyer of LOT # 1134 (Topps uncut sheet collection) is on the board and willing to sell the 1963 Bazooka All-Time Greats sheet from that lot, please contact me via PM or email. Thanks!
