Ted, thanks for all your help on the 1949 Bowman's!! I subbed a couple of slates (including the Doby rookie) to SGC in hopes that they will recognize the variation. They claim to have never seen them before, which I sort of find hard to believe, but oh well. Even if they just slab them as A's, I plan on putting the common on Ebay and will let you know when I do, if interested....

1949 Bowman SLATE cards

I have both SGC and PSA graded 1949 Bowman SLATE cards. So, I don't understand why they at SGC claim that...."they have never seen them before". In fact, I have a Bob Muncrief SLATE card graded SGC 80. I'd show you them, but my scanner is not operating now. As soon as I get it operational, I'll scan these 1949 Bowman SLATE cards and post them here. TED Z
