My only HOF player with a tough back. Not quite in the same league as the others shown.

My Pops and I have completed four "pairs" thus far, and although it is not a HOF, we did finally complete the Orval Overall pair that we had been trying to hunt down (Uzit-AB 460) and I am just waiting for the Uzit from Fed Ex actually. They are dinged, but they are good enough for us, and hot damn I love the colors in that card

We are not rich guys, and prefer a variety of players as opposed to many backs including the most common variations of Piedmont and Sweet Caporal etc., although I have mad respect for the people who can actually get every possible combination in a back run. So many of those runs would be so tough. Though it is a team run as opposed to the a single player run, my all time favorite might have to be Jim River@'s Baltimore-Broad Leaf back run. That is seriously epic to have all nine of that particular team with that particular back, in my opinion.

We have a few more we would like to complete in the future for our collection. One of the best parts is that it has been "challenging" and has taken a great deal of patience. In fact, both of the Broad Leafs were acquired via trade, which I absolutely love. We should all trade more

Anyways, dang. I cannot even believe some of the cards in this thread and hopefully it has only just started. Thanks for sharing guys.

Derek

PS

I love the Sam Crawford AB460 and Uzit, they look great together. And two red Cobb's with Lenox backs. Not too shabby for a Thursday afternoon

Even though Old Mill isn't a rare back (unless you have one for sale on the B/S/T), the green Cobb combo is pretty tough (even if you don't have one for sale on the B/S/T).

Amazing Cobb! I almost never the green with anything other than Piedmont and Sweep Caporal. Old Mill and Sovereign (especially gorgeous ones like this) seem to be few and far between.

Well, Red Lifson came through. Orval has landed. He is not a HOF, but it took a long time to complete the pair and we are very excited about it.

In case you are wondering, she is an Avatar today
