Personally I think it's because a handful of people have each other all pumped up, but what do I know.

True, but really that's all it takes.

I think it started with alcohol. The more you consume the better they look. Kind of like the girls at the bar at 2:00 am.

When someone was willing to pay up for them--just like anything else.

Collectors don't realize how rare they are. Imagine how prices will skyrocket when that happens. Easily $1,000 cards.

Default simple.....

beauty is in the eye of the beholder

....alternative collecting....one man's trash is another man's treasure....they are unique.....rare.....fun to look at...."freaky"....cool

T206 is such an Iconic set......much "niche" collecting to be done, factory errors, rare backs, autographed cards, printer's scrap, Southern league....etc. etc. but we all know this....

I think there might be some "miscut" Envy out there, and that's why the haters keep hating.....they are not as easy to obtain as a lot of other T206....

So let's turn this ship around...AND SHOW US YOUR T206 Miscuts!

As Chris & Johnny have alluded to above, they are very rare. Also, being a designer, the drastic miscuts are very appealing to me. they're graphic, bold and artistic...in a cubist or deconstructive manner.

I am with you guys but only have one T206 miscut type, unfortunately. They are so hotly contested nowadays, the more severe and "neat" ones go for a ton. And because we still get a lot of new members, there might be someone in the world who hasn't seen this one...

i think the front miscuts are interesting, especially if there is a different player. that...is something i can see driving some value up since there is debates about sheet layouts.

but im with the OP on backs. just don't see it. rare ok. but the prices being paid are astronimical. there are cards that are in less numbers that go for less than what some people are paying for these.

Thanks to Chris for this Sov.

The above 4-card sheet is pretty sick. upside down as well. what?!

Besides being rare, the Miscuts are just simply cool to look at.
