That's a great way BTW to get someone into collecting if he's into Pirates embrace it with cards, FYI there are also some very reasonable UK tobacco sets that have pirates too.

I'll check out the UK pirate tobacco cards. I've also picked up a Pirates brand back with a Chinese warrior on the front for him. That's about the closest I'll come to owning a T215!!

And I've floated the idea of a Honus "Pirate" as a nice "cross collecting" piece for him. Quickly received the Heisman from my wife on that one!!

When purchased originally I thought this was a Piedmont counter display used for single cigarette sales, but after looking at it closer I believe it to be a counter ashtray.
Note the strike marks on the side a match would have left. Well loved, but cool none the less.

This TUXEDO advertisement Circa 1912-13 is dated by the stated fact that Heine Zimmerman was the 1912 NL Batting Champion (BA = .372)
