A quick partial list of vocalists in the metal category:
Bruce Dickinson~Iron Maiden Rob Halford~ Judas Priest, Fight, Halford Ronnie James Dio(RIP)~ Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Dio Ozzy Osbourne~ Black Sabbath, Ozzy ( from first Sabbath album through "Bark At The Moon") I'm tired but off the top of my head these four stand out in the "classic Metal" category. Will add to later.... Sincerely, Clayton |

Good one! Great vocalist, I also should have included Klaus from the Scorpions and Udo from Accept......but ultimately I have to put Bruce at the top of the heap- especially back in the day:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n6LuhuSCwUg Sincerely, Clayton |

Black Sabbath couldn't have picked a better singer to fill Ozzy's shoes. RIP Dio

Don't need a singer or even a band. Just give Joe Satriani an electric guitar and an amp to plug into and I can listen to him play for hours.

I guess he is also credited with popularizing the heavy metal "horns" symbol that you see held high at almost any concert, which is pretty damn cool. \m/ Another great example, Children of the Sea... awesome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsz2uIRnqqc D'oh! Fixed the link. thanks, Clayton!
