Here's a scan of the back. There are some markings which could be a sign that it was once glued into an album. That could quite possibly explain the color difference. It just doesn't look like fading to me. The dark blue right above the grass looks like it's missing a tint. The entire card does actually. Would red be the final pass even on a card that had no red coloring (with the exception of the lips)?
