I am told there is a neat picture of the collector riding one of those high wheel bicycles, which we will share too. The Great Niece, the consignor, is going to do the write up for us to share. As most of us do, I find it really interesting to see "virgin" to the hobby cards. How the borders are, their brightness, what mfg's they were etc...This gentleman looks to have smoked Sweet Caporal, American Beauties, Cycles and Piedmonts mostly. As far as I know the lady is sending us the whole collection, most of it is in hand now. Like I said, not a big one, but a nice one...I would call it vg+ with a few lesser and a few better. The best ones will be graded. Those Broadleafs shown are as nice as they look. I am crossing my fingers on their grades .

Just occurred to me, maybe a pedigree of "The Luckey Find" would bring some more $.

Can you share where it was in NJ so those of us here can kick ourselves for not finding it

Please check out my books on baseball history. They include the bio of star second baseman Dots Miller. A book featuring 20 Moonlight Graham players who got into just one game. Another with 13 players who were with the Pittsburgh Pirates during the regular season, but never played a game. There's also one about 27 baseball families, as well as a day-by-day look at the worst team in Pittsburgh Pirates history. All five can be found here: https://www.amazon.com/stores/John-D...hor/B0DH87Q2DS |
