Interesting BST situation & potential problem!

What if someone had bid $175 in between Bruce's $150 & his $275 snipe? Where/what do you set the winning bid at?

There was no incremental bid increase established either.

Then his 275 snipe would have been taken. I think what you bring up is moot because no one actually placed an incremental bid.

I'm considering the impact on ANY future BST sales as there are very few rules here.

On EBay there are built-in bid increments. You did not designate any, so you are saying you would have expected Bruce to pay the $275 even tho the next lower bid was only $175?

That is how I assumed it always was. Look at any previous auctions on BST, you are not doing incremental bidding, you are basically making offers with the best offer prior to the cut off time getting the item. Net54 auctions may be called an auction, but I have always looked at it more as a "Best offer" situation with the seller designating the lowest offer they would accept.

OK w/ me--I just wanted to clarify AHEAD of any potential future problems. I probably have not been Selling here as long as you 2, and had never seen a snipe bid used before.
