Shelly, I disagree, depends on the seller, IMO. If Richard or Jim had one framed, I would buy it.

I would never sell a framed item unless it had been taken apart and examined front and back first. I always request potential sellers to remove items from frames. I recently gave away over 100 beautiful brand new frames and matting. I don't sell displays I sell autographs

Thanks for the endorsement.
Your check is in the mail .
Seriously though, I never buy framed items and always instruct potential sellers to remove the item, from a frame, before sending it to me.
Though between autographs and my own photography I have framed items on all my walls . (all were framed by my own framer of course).

When looking at a replica check in person that is unframed, is it easy to tell the difference between a real and a fake?

I see this Cobb on eBay that's listed as a replica, and it seems like it would be difficult to know that it's not a real check. But perhaps once in hand it becomes obvious.

I believe the check shown on the ebay auction is the original and the buyer will get a copy of that check. I've never seen a copy of a check that had the actual tear perforations along the edges.
