The w514 is one of my least favorite ruth strips...personally! I don't think it looks much like him. I prefer the w516 or w519 but they are likely more expensive.
I remember what strips used to sell for...back in the 80's...and they were "shit"...you could get them for pennies on the dollar compared to other issues. So to me paying high 3-low 4 figures for a nice strip is ridiculous and I'd never do it! Just my opinion...I like some strips...but many are cartoonish and bear little resemblance to the player. For my money if I were looking for a cheap ruth...I'd hit the 30's premiums...baby ruth, butterfinger...they're oversized and beautiful, period and reasonably priced. |
