Interestingly enough, Spahn didn't seem to be an important enough factor to make the roster list.

Probably one of my first pieces of memorabilia way before I even started collecting. My father was given tickets to a World Series game in 1983 at Philadelphia. But I was 6 years old and didn't want to miss my rec soccer game(really wish he forced me to go). But at that time we had season tickets to the Cosmos and I was all about soccer. He gave the tickets to friends of his and they brought me back this pennant. Was hanging in my room all through my childhood, now it is proudly displayed in my memorabilia room.

I remember that series fondly. Gary Matthews played out of his mind!

I really like the way you have the figures displayed with the pennant Mark!

Beautiful pennants every one.
Jack, I think the Chicago pennant is a University of Chicago pennant. I had a group of about 10 nearly identical Spalding pennants that were for assorted colleges. They all had the identical tasseled string woven into them, and that attractive wavy cut to the felt. |

Sorry for the small photos, but here is my Carlisle pennant with Thorpe-esque football carrier pictured.
![]() ![]() This one isn't in my collection, but rather part of my for sale inventory; its a rare Stan Musial pennant.

Thank you very much for the information! And speaking of attractive, your Carlisle Indians pennant has great eye appeal; as do so many others which have been shown here. |

I'm not a pennant guy per se, but just picked up this photo in the RMY auction last night that I thought you guys might enjoy. It shows 1954 Cleveland Indians team officials taking inventory and getting World Series Souvenirs ready to sell at the ballpark, including. Hundreds of pennants including several with the stadium and others with the Chief Wahoo image as well as some New York Giants pennants poking out of a box too, not to mention yearbooks, stadium pins, visors and T-shirts. Fun stuff!
