Yeah, those are really unique... you never see them. Great stuff, Greg.
Mike; A number of those must be one-of-a-kind. I've never seen any other examples of the Cub wearing the Cap, the oversized/framed Cubs, or the Tiger Head above the Stadium. Really great stuff! Also... There was another Johnny Groth Pennant on ebay recently. Do you still have yours, or did it make it's way to the ""outside"? It is interesting, as we once thought it might be a "special" pennant, made just for him. Fascinating to ponder why they would mass-produce a pennant like that for such a common player?

Awesome stuff Mark!
Here's a couple odd ball but cool pennants. I believe the Redleg pennant to be from 1958. It originated from the Los Angeles area. The last year the Reds were officially referred to as the Redlegs and the Dodgers first year in L.A. was 1958. Plus it has sewn on letters and measures 14" x 40"! I believe it may have been used at the Reds visiting hotel or something similar...

I saw quite a few Cubs pennants in the thread but didn't see this one. In fact I've had a hard time finding it anywhere, I did a brief search awhile back trying to date it but came up empty. Part of the problem is its condition, I'm not sure what the original colors were (I'm guessing blue, but who knows?).

It was indeed blue. Too much sun over the years has turned it grey, as is typical for these blue pennants with the thinner style felt. For whatever reason, the thin blue felt didn't hold its color, unless very well protected/preserved.

That's the only one I've seen with orange felt. The other two were black, and that's it... super rare early Bears version, and condition looks incredible. Jealous!
