Default Photo of photogs

I posted this in the RMY pickup thread, but it certainly would apply.
I have no idea who these photographers are, BTW.

If anyone recognizes their backsides, PLMK.
Actually, maybe I don't want to know why you know...

Here is Barney Stein again, this time with his Izzy Kaplan award "for the best sport picture entered in the exhibit of the Press Photographers Association of New York"

William Kuenzel and Babe Ruth in Detroit:

Kuenzel (in car) with other Detroit News photographers around 1950. Can't explain why the car is so old.

Wow, that IS cool! Usually you see those "1st pitch" shots from the vantage point of the photogs on the ground. I think that's the first overhead shot like that I've seen. Very neat, and shows just how crowded it could get with all those guys jostling for position at a key moment!

For sure.. that's what makes this cool. It puts everything into perspective. I knew it was staged but man.. this is really staged!! ha!

It also explains why the guy throwing out the ball always seems to be lobbing it way up high: They HAD to or else they'd bean Conlon or one of his cronies right in the mush!
