The BROAD LEAF 350 cards depict players in the 350-only series, which comprises of 214 subjects. These cards were issued circa....Summer/Fall 1910.
I refer to these similar stylistic back designs as the "A-B-C-D" connection...... ![]() To date, the following 174 subjects have been confirmed. Abbott Abstein Adkins Anderson Arellanes Armbruster Arndt Barbeau Barry (A's) Barry (Milwaukee) Batch Beck Becker Beckley Bender (trees) Bescher (portrait) Blackburne Bliss Brain Bresnahan (bat) Burchell Burke Burns Bush Butler Campbell Carrigan Casey Cassidy Chance (portrait-yellow) Chappelle Charles Chase (portrait-blue) Clancy Clark Clymer Congalton Cree Davidson Delehanty (Louisville) Dessau Dineen Donovan (throwing) Doolan (fielding) Dorner Downey (fielding) Downs Dubuc Jack Dunn (Baltimore) Joe Dunn (Brooklyn) Dygert Egan Engle Evers (yellow sky) Fiene (portrait) Fiene (throwing) Flanagan Fletcher Freeman Fromme Ganzel Gasper Graham (Boston) Graham (St Louis) Grimshaw Hall Hallman Hannifan Hartsel Hayden Hinchman (Toledo) Hoblitzell Hoffman (Providence) Hoffman (St Louis) Hofman Howard (Chicago) Howell (portrait) Huggins (portrait) Huggins (hands at mouth) Hulswitt Hunter Jackson Jones (Detroit) Kelley Killian (portrait) Kisinger Knabe Knight (portrait) Knight (bat) Krause (portrait) Krause (pitching) Kroh Kruger LaPorte Lattimore Lavender Lennox Livingstone Lord Maddox Malarkey Maloney Marquard (portrait) Marshall McAleese McBride McElveen McGinley McGinnity McGlynn McIntyre (Detroit) Merritt Milan Miller (Pittsburg) Milligan Mitchell (Cinci) Mitchell (Toronto) Moeller Moran (Chicago) Moran (Providence) Moriarty Mullen (portrait) Murray (bat) Myers (bat) Myers (fielding) Nattress Oakes Oberlin O'Brien O'Neill Paskert Perring Pfeister (seated) Phelan Phelps Phillippe Poland Purtell Quillen Quinn Randall Raymond Rhoades (hands at chest) Rhodes Ritter Rudolph Schirm Schreck Scott Sharpe Shaw (Providence) Slagle Smith (Buffalo) Snodgrass (bat) Speaker Stanage Starr Strang Street (portrait) Summers Sweeney (Boston) Tannehill (Washington) Taylor Thielman Thomas Titus Unglaub Warhop White (Buffalo) Willett (bat) Wilson Wright Irv Young Zimmerman This list is still a work in progress....so, any new inputs are really appreciated. Seven new confirmed BL 350 subjects have recently been reported. I'm hoping we can approach the 190 subjects that I predicted in my original theory.
In 2008, I posted my theory regarding the stylistic design common to the AMERICAN BEAUTY 350 (frame).....BROAD LEAF 350.....CYCLE 350.....DRUM T206 cards. For more info regarding this theory check-out......http://www.net54baseball.com/showthr...ight=delehanty I refer to this stylistic design of these T206 backs as the "A-B-C-D" connection............ ![]() These 2 links get you the AB 350 (frame) & CY 350 confirmed lists. Both lists lend credence to my A-B-C-D premise. Both equal the same 190 subjects. AB 350 frame http://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=124927 CY 350 http://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=125615 The current BROAD LEAF 350 confirmed list falls short of the 190 predicted number by the following 16 subjects............ Atz Brashear Carr Chase (dark cap) Cobb (red portrait) Collins (A's) Cravath Easterly Ferguson Flanagan Mathewson (dark cap) McGann Pickering Schlafly Schmidt (portrait) Stephens I expect that a good number of these 16 cards will eventually be confirmed. In the meantime, if you can confim any of these, please chime in. Your inputs are greatly appreciated. TED Z Last edited by tedzan; 06-29-2017 at 10:40 PM. First....Hey Kevin, I don't know if I'm the "best"....but, I appreciate your compliment, anyway.
From the above list of 16 remaining subjects that have yet to be confirmed with BL 350 back, I've a feeling that these 3 super-prints (Chase, Cobb, and Matty) may not have been printed with this back. The 3 super-prints that were printed with the BL 350 backs are Chance (portrait- yellow), Chase (portrait-blue) and Evers (bat-yellow sky). These 3 cards are very, very rare (about 2 examples of each have been confirmed). .. ![]() ![]() The red Cobb is the most available image of the various White-Bordered cards (T206, T213, T214 and T215).....however, no BL 350 Cobb has ever been seen by even the most ardent of Cobb collectors. Last remaining 16 subjects that have yet to be confirmed with the BL 350 back............ Atz Brashear Carr Chase (dark cap) ............... ? Cobb (red portrait) ............ ? Collins (A's) Cravath Easterly Ferguson Flanagan Mathewson (dark cap) ....... ? McGann Pickering Schlafly Schmidt (portrait) Stephens Hey guys....search thru your numerous T206's and let's see if we can confirm some more BROAD LEAF 350 cards from this list of 16. Ted -- I have a Broad Leaf 350 Quinn, which knocks another one off your "unconfirmed" list. I've posted a pic of the back in a couple of different threads, but not the front. It's in one of my album pages and I don't want to risk taking it out, so I hope you'll take my word for it.
Sorry, I didn't know about this post since it's from so long ago. I saw your Lenox posts, so I know that my two Lenoxes (Schaefer/Washington and Wiltse/portrait with cap) are known. I'm not sure if you have a brown Hindu thread, but mine are Bell (hands over head) and Lake (New York). |
