I love how you could get a '52 Mantle for $1!

Thats my favorite part of these old catalogue posts. Seeing the prices back then. Thanks as always Leon.

There is no mention of the condition of the cards offered for sale. I guess at a buck apiece for 52 high numbers, you can have a little flexibility.

I also love the old school "Planetarium Station" address. Makes me want to play Bobby Darin's 'Sunday in New York' and grab a Checker Cab down to Toots Shor's.

Thanks for posting these Leon. It gives a great sense of the early days of the hobby.

You and the others are welcome, Jim. Recently I picked up some more boxes stuffed with this kind of stuff. It is nice being able to show a glimpse of what it used to be like in our hobby, before most of us (but not all of us) were in it. Here is a page from the 2nd issue of this magazine, entitled "Price List #2...January 1, 1964". There was a question about the album mentioned and here is the back cover of this issue to help with a full description.

T205 and T206 were issued between 1900 and 1915? Is that the extent of the knowledge back then?

I'll take the '52 Topps set for $34.75 please...with inflation that's only about $266, aka about the same price as 6 to 10 '52 commons nowadays

If someone on here is working on a time machine , I'll donate $1.

If Beatle poster is real , I'd be interested also. Seen The Beatles in 1966.

Leon, thanks for posting.

My dad was born in 1922 and collected 1933 and 1934 Goudey's. He never even knew or seen tobacco cards when he was young.
