Just saw these buttons on ebay. Produced in Winona, MN (see bottom of card). Isn't that where Wincraft was? Anyone know if Wincraft and this operation were one in the same?

Spotted this on tonight's episode of Mad Men. Don Draper found it folded under the a/c unit, looked at it briefly, then tossed it aside. Later in the episode, it's tacked up on his office wall.

Could very well be both. Typically, they are very good with researching props that are appropriate for the time depicted on that show, but I figure they wouldn't be above reproducing one if an original was not readily available.

The Mets is not a studio prop pennant. It's not that uncommon, and I recall seeing that one long before the show Mad Men was even a concept.
If the plot is taking place in the early '60s, I think they actually picked a decent Mets Pennant to portray. Last edited by perezfan; 05-06-2014 at 01:06 AM. |

I actually recently sold a Mets pennant like that on EBay last fall. It didn't have any staining, but it was the exact same one. I sometimes wonder where some of it ends up, but that would have been a little surprising.
