T3 prices soaring in higher grades?

Chris, you don't have to win a lottery to collect T3's. You can get some presentable low graded commons for $100-$200
So one here & one there, they can add up to a nice collection.

When I was collecting the set a few years ago, PSA had graded 2 PSA-8's, & both were Ty Cobb
I've seen them both, 1 in person at a National at PSA's booth & they were awesome.
Not sure if any other 8's have joined the Cobb party recently.

No, but if you want the whole set in fairly high grade, it sure would help
