In more modern times the early 60's SF Giants had Mays, McCovey, Cepeda, Marichal, and G Perry, and for a short time Spahn was on one of those teams too. Not bad for a team that got to the Series only once.
And I think there was a Dodgers team that had Campanella, Snider, Reese, Jackie, Koufax and Drysdale.

That seems to be focusing on periods rather than single year teams. The roster of the 1970 Oakland A's was much different than the 1976 roster. In recent times you can certainly point to the Atlanta Braves of 1992 as being a very, very rare roster. |
