Might not make sense, but it makes dollars. Sorry for the pun. I think the manufacturers are really smart to do this as they get some new people interested in old stuff and they get some vintage collectors to buy new stuff. And.....they're out of great new ideas, so re-freshing stuff is much less costly than coming up with fresh new stuff on their own. Witness the success of the Topps Heritage series from 2001-present and the Topps 206 and 205 sets, the Allen Ginter, etc. It's kind of a 'cant miss' for the manufacturers I think. Some are cool but they all feed the lottery mentality of todays new card collector looking for those 1/of cards that are one per box, one per case, etc. Still.....some are quite neat and they've done nice work on many of them in terms of artwork/etc. The A&G stuff not only has the small cards but also the N43-sized cards as well as larger cards that are patterned after A&G Album pages. I have a few but work diligently to NOT spend money on opening wax--even as fun as it is. I have been putting together Topps Heritage sets for a while though.......
