W600 & Piedmont Cigarettes ad
Found these while doing some research over the last few days. First is a checklist for the W600 set as it existed on 2-20-1909 in Sporting Life magazine. Buy a dozen for a dollar!
The second one is a Piedmont cigarettes ad from 1908 as it appeared in a Birmingham newspaper. I'm going to request a copy of the microfilm from 1910 & 1911 to see if I can find a T206 version of the ad sometime soon. There wasn't one in the 1909 papers I reviewed.

What is up with that flag on the front of the boat?

A little swastika-ish, isn't it? It was 1909 though, not 1939.

Is there a slightly larger/bolder font for some of those names? And if so, do you know or have a guess of what the significance might be?

The bolded names mark the change in the first letter of the last names. First A, First B, etc. I've got a big PDF that shows it very clearly, but I couldn't figure out how to post it.

Wasn't the swastika symbol an American Indian symbol years before the Nazi's stole it & turned it into a hate symbol?

Actually comes from Asia and is symbol found Buddhism & Hinduism meaning good fortune. Until the Nazis tilted on its side Jay you're correct.

As noted, the swastika was a good luck symbol in different cultures, including in the United States, for centuries, and the Nazis didn't yet exist in 1909. Also, the Nazi swastika was different. It was (intentionally) tilted to resemble a cross.
