I assumed by rare, he meant basically that it wasn't a piedmont back. Hopefully, he'll change his mind again. But, I doubt it.
I guess I should just pull up my floorboards and see what's down there... |

Personally I don't think you missed out on much I wouldn't be surprised if that upper left is trimmed a bit.

I said last week that the card should grade a 2, and I still believe that. I really look forward to seeing what this card sells for after it's graded.

I agree that if real it's at best a 2 but looking at the listing I think it's bogus. The seller states it was found while renovating an old apartment in SF. Yeah right, the one card that is found just happens to be a Cobb not a common but one of the top 5 cards in the set and one with many reprints.

Thanks for the responses. I'll now watch from the sidelines. If it's actually fake though, the fact that he didn't sell to me tells me that he had second thoughts on committing fraud. If that's the case, we may not see this card again.
