Those last 2 postcards are phenomenal. The RPPC of Ruth in the game is one of my faves I have seen. Very cool.

Holy smokes! Great DiMaggio! I'm not sure if I had ever seen one before...although I've known about its existence for years...

The Ruth and Gehrig was snapped on August 27, 1927 at Sportsman's Park in St. Louis. The New York Yankees defeated the St. Louis Browns 14-4 with Ruth, Bob Meusel, and Earle Combs hitting home runs for the Bronx Bombers before 7,500 disappointed Browns fans.
The DiMaggio, one of his scarcest postcard issues, was issued by Gillette Safety Razor of Mexico. For more early postcards visit http://www.sportingoregon.com. Always buying! Last edited by bbpostcards; 08-30-2014 at 02:31 PM. |

I have yet in 20 years to finally see another Gillette Safety Razor of Mexico postcard. I have a Ted Williams from the same company, a similar issue, the only I have seen until this afternoon. The DiMaggio is awesome, and would make a MAGNIFICENT set with my Williams. The Pebble Beach DiMaggio is also AMAZING!
