I still have 10hrs so if they don't move I'll end them.. Question to the guys who use ebay all the time. What will ebay do if the site doesn't come back online before they end? I don't have to honor the sale but would take the risk of negative feedback from someone who might not be understanding of the site being down. Would ebay delete the negative feedback (I have 100%)

Still waiting for mine.

How many trucks does an eBay catalog require for delivery? Is the bidder line toll-free?

Thanks to ebay being down earlier it appears some users did not check back in or were still unable to access the site, and I "stole" a few auctions with low proxy bids on listings that ended earlier today. On the flip side, this has been a horrible day for my FP listing sales on the selling side. Hopefully consumer confidence is not damaged due to the ebay outage of earlier today.

UPDATE: Technical Issues Resolved
For a few hours today, some of our eBay users around the world experienced issues when visiting our site and contacting customer service.
As of 10:45 am PT today, the vast majority of site functionality had been restored.
We never want our customers to experience any issues. But when things don’t go as planned, like today, we work to make it right for our customers. We sincerely apologize for any impact this may have caused. In the next day or two, eBay teams will be in touch directly with affected sellers to provide them with additional information.

Dear XXXXXXX,

I'm writing to you today about the recent technical issues that have affected eBay, and to let you know how you—as a valued seller—are protected.

On Sunday, September 14, a number of eBay sites and customer service platforms around the world experienced intermittent issues. When the disruption began—at 3:15AM PDT—the eBay Technology Team immediately began work towards resolving it. By 10:45AM PDT that day, the vast majority of site functionality had been restored.

The personal information of our customers was not compromised by this incident.

We know how much it matters to your livelihood that eBay functions properly, and that lately our performance hasn't met your expectations. We apologize for this and are taking steps to ensure that we do meet them going forward.

As a seller with transactions impacted by this issue, you will be protected as follows:
eBay will automatically credit all fees for certain listings that ended between 3:15AM PDT through 12:45PM PDT on Sunday, September 14. The additional two hours will help ensure we're assisting all of the customers potentially affected.
The fee credit will apply to auction-style listings that ended (except those that sold for a Buy It Now price) and any fixed price listings that ended without a sale (except 30-day and Good 'Til Cancelled listings)
If the affected listing was a free listing, it can be relisted for free within 7 days, even if the seller has used all allotted free listings
Any transaction defects we can identify as resulting from this issue will be removed and not impact the seller's performance record.
Top Rated status and Top Rated Plus discounts will be protected for sellers who were not able to upload tracking information to eBay within their stated handling time due to this issue.
The credits will be applied to your account by September 22 and reflected on your October-dated invoice.

Nothing is more important to us than our customers, and eBay is committed to maintaining your trust.

As always, thank you for selling on eBay.

Sincerely,

Steve Boehm
Global Customer Experience

If you did that to me, I would leave negative feedback. I wouldn't expect ebay to remove it either. Cancel the item now if it worries you.

Don't ever count on eBay removing negative feedback. DSR stars, "defects", etc, maybe. Their stance is that feedback reflects whether the buyer was satisfied with the transaction or not though, and even with transactions that were never completed or were cancelled for some reason or moronic buyers who are clearly in the wrong, they feel those buyers should be allowed to voice their opinion on your permanent record.

You may be able to get them to wiggle on the other "behind the scenes" scores and ratings that aren't visible to other users, but it's about the hardest thing in the world to get them to remove something that is visible to the world like that. Especially if you first have to get them to admit that you shouldn't have to complete the transaction because eBay messed up. Pretty much impossible in that situation.
