Several buyers got it wrong. Aesthetic value, since they look crappy, is nil. The only value, to me, would be the value of the amount of heat they put off if set on fire.

We see time and again on ebay people paying absurd sums for worthless reprints. I can't figure it out.

The seller is normally a good seller (at least on nonsports stuff) but has REPEATEDLY sold these after he's been warned. I think he got duped on them and is trying to cut his losses maybe. This is the 2nd or 3rd time this has cropped up and I know for sure he was warned each of the other two times.

Not only are they reprints, they are copies of the originals in the NYPL. The originals are actual photographs pasted onto a cabinet card. The clarity is vastly different and the originals have the actual pencil handwriting. The ones I have seen all seem to originate in Great Britain. While I think they are worthless, apparently a number of people like them.

All I can say is " Ouch" ! I feel bad for those who bought them .
