Hi Scott
Good question, as I suggested it as a gift for a young collector. It is a completely legit, above-board issue by Skybox and I don't believe there is anything scarier than the characters themselves, which are all beautiful little works of art.
Altho I haven't read every word on every card I'm sure there are no curse words or anything of the sort that would be inappropriate for our kids to read, play with, & enjoy!
