In his 2006 rookie season, Anibal Sanchez joined the ranks of immortality by pitching a no-hitter on 9/6/2006 against the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks.

I had the opportunity to meet Sanchez shortly after the end of the 2006 season and got him to sign a rare season ticket to his rookie no-hitter.

These Sanchez rookie game used cleats and glove are a neat compliment to one of my current favorite pitchers on my hometown Detroit Tigers.
Scott,
The vast collection of no-hit memorabilia you've amassed is just amazing. Honestly, I don't know how you are able to contain your excitement enough to sleep at nights.

I look forward to reading and seeing your future posts....keep 'em coming!
Bob

...modern stuff

Prior to attending last year's NFC Championship Game, the hugest sporting event I attended was the 2004 NLCS game where Houston beat Atlanta to win their first playoff series ever. I sat right behind the Astros dugout, so got to really revel in the celebration. Us Astros fans have not had much of that over the years.

Yesterday I won this 2004 Astros Phil Garner road jersey. Garner was one of my favorite Astros back in the early '80s and hit about half his home runs when I attended, which was kind of weird. Other than Carlos Beltran, he's the guy whose jersey I would want from that season. Not sure when it was worn, and I guess it's possible it's not really a gamer, but for now I'm elated to finally pick something up related to that season:

Wow, great items guys, lets keep them coming.
I found this Reach Mickey Cochrane signature model yesterday, and despite it's condition, I couldn't say no, especially considering the price. I can't see too many of these being out there, but I'm no glove expert. I did find a 1928 ad online for his signature model selling then for 15.00. The stamping were different from mine, but mine was made in Canada and the stamps and cloth patches usually differ from American made models in my experience. Or maybe mine was made later? Anyway, sorry to ramble on.
