I searched some old AH listings thinking a box must have come up at some point, but no luck. I did find examples of the original artwork from the cards being auctioned off though - one of the write ups referenced a "find from the 70s that entered the hobby via a National Chicle employee" <- not an exact quote, but that was the jist of it.
This is probably a stupid question, but in what sense was the original artwork used to produce the cards? My understanding is that the paintings aren't huge - around 4x the size of the cards, but I just don't get what the next step would be once the painting was done...... |
