			eBay item number: 111439250186

http://www.ebay.com/itm/111439250186...186%26_rdc%3D1 I came across this 1960 Pirates teamed signed ball and it was apparent the Murtaugh was the typical clubhouse version, but then I noticed the Clemente and Burgiss autos; clear fakes. I reached out to the seller to inform them and here was his response. His response: "I appriciate your concern, but I have sold 3 of the same type balls and have had no issues, The authnetication process is a completer fraud bogus business anyways. I have been in this business for over 30 years and have seen the so called experts pass items I known for fact that were not legit, then not pass stuff that was. so my thought is all in the eye of the beholder ! But thanks" I dug a bit deeper and saw a negative review on a Rice auto and saw a Gretzky auto that looked bad too. I've reach out to ebay to have the Pirates ball removed but I hope to stop having these autos make it into private collections. Last edited by Leon; 02-17-2015 at 03:59 PM. Reason: added link |

Its even more disconcerting the seller has said he has sold three of these balls already and feels authenticity comes second to "the eye of the beholder". I'm confident the collectors on here wouldn't be duped on this particular piece, but I'd hate to see a novice be taken advantage of on such a obvious fake.

But he's been the the business for 30 years. So he knows a thing or two about print letters that spell out "Roberto Clemente".
