Rare Cuban, about 1916, accepted as Tris Speaker. Only a few of these around, some black and white, others colorized.

It's been so long since I've posted that these pickups make up for the last 3 months. Titus is a Polar Bear. I've also really added to my Cubs subset!

Picked up this Billy Donovan the other day. Slight vertical crease on the edge that is hard to see which explains the low grade.

Not sure what your point is on this...clearly different cards and borders...the ones from about 1915 all look alike, except some colorized and some not...the later ones, i guess, have far different borders and number in lower right corner etc...am I missing something?

Greg, I think, IMO, that he is saying PSA slabbed one as Tris Speaker and the other one not. I could be wrong though.........

The older one is accepted as Speaker and always sold as such. Not IDed on front or back. The newer one may have ID somewhere.

I believe i used to have the photo of that Speaker card and it was identified as him batting on the 1913-14 World Tour, I think in England.

No - just me being dumb...again. Still, it's interesting to use the same basic picture 19 years apart...guess that's what caught my attention.
