The '59 Bazooka set rocks! Some really, really tough SPs in the set as well. Also an error card (Conerly) that was corrected so there are two versions of his card.

Hands down favorite set for me is the '52 Bowman Large. After Topps came out w/ those BIG 1952 baseball cards, imagine my surprise when in the Fall of '52 Bowman followed suit & issued their FB cards in the same large format!

I never stopped buying packs until I had put that set together! Little did we know back then that the result was so many short-cut cards because Bowman was squeezing them onto the same size sheets as their previous small issues!

I finally had SGC grade all 144 of my original cards back in the middle of 2000's and of course many were 50's & 60's only because of being close cut! My Halas is an example of a NRMT card penalized for the cut!

Here are a few of them:

Damn Fred did you ever touch those cards after pulling them out of the packs? Those are pretty nice looking. I agree I love the 52's but the centering will drive you crazy if you are a freak about it.

As of now, I am stuck on the 1950 Bowman's. It's tough to pick a favorite. I think the 1951 and 1952's are next on my list.

I can't pick a favorite either but this would definitely be one of them!

I only collected football in 69 70and 71, so naturally my favorite would have to fall into those years. I have to go with 71 with a nod to the 69 super glossies and the game card inserts from l believe 71.
