Default What was in the mailbox today

I got home today just in time to see the mailman coming down the street.
He delivered something I have been wanting for a long time - a Joe Torre game issued bat (I say issued because the seller pointed out that it didn't show much signs of use). So I am guessing it was one in the rack, or maybe he took a few swings with it at the most.
But it looks awesome in my Torre collection.

Snagged this McGwire bat from the Robert Edwards Auction. I rarely can afford anything in their catalog but they made a mistake in their listing. They said since the knob was signed "sack" they assumed it was used by another player. But even though the public liked to call him "Big Mac", his teammates called him "sack". Not a well known fact. Bat shows tons of use, not cracked and is signed. Comeback year of 1992.

AWESOME pickup!!! Loved Big Mac, another true beast. I know I know, but watching him hit was a thing of beauty in the late 90's. Whenever you watched him he'd hit a home run. Every time!

Looks to be another amazing month for great pickups. Really enjoy seeing Bobs and Marks figural pieces. Congrats to both!

Ive never come across either of these pieces. (Doesnt mean others have not ) The first is a cast metal bank about 6 inches tall. The Pinch Hit tobacco advertising piece is an impressive 56" long by 26" tall. Fantastic colors on this one that really pop. Apparently it was found rolled up in a paper collection that hasnt been touched in the past 40 - 50 years. Im glad to add both of these to my collection!

Great stuff guys. The pinch hit sign is awesome ! I've always admired the elephant poster .. It's a great cross collectible and the eye appeal is amazing

Default mini bobblehead

bought two tough mini bobbleheads at an auction today. Auction was in a little town in the middle of no where and i still had to battle for these. i usually like to buy in groups and sell some and keep some, so i'll be throwing the pirate on the bay.

You guys continue to find amazing stuff. I'm on a month and a half drought - the catalog stuff is too pricey and eBay has lately been a waste of my time.

Picked this up yesterday at an antique shop. I'm not sure if it was used as a bat rack or not but I will be displaying my bats on it. It differs from other bat racks I've seen. What does everyone think? It measures about 74inches high.
