Excellent cards. I've always liked that Glasscock card, best 19th century card IMO. Why did it only grade a poor? There must be back damage.

With thanks to Mark M., I'm thrilled to have picked up these scarce 1943 & 1944 Centennial Flour cards of Byron "By" Speece for my collection of all the players on the 1924 Senators World Series Championship team. Until I very recently learned of these cards (I'm still looking for Speece's 1945, and last, Centennial Flour card), it was my belief that the only card that of Speece that was issued during his playing days was his 1924 Diaz Cigarettes card (a Cuban issue).
Speece had a brief MLB career. In 1924, his first year in MLB and only year with the Senators, Speece appeared in 21 games and had a 2 - 1 record with a 2.65 ERA. His only W.S. appearance was for 1 inning in Game 3, in which he gave up 1 run to the Giants. However, in 20 minor league seasons, he won 224 games vs. 162 losses. In 1943 & 1944, at ages 46 and 47, Speece won a total of 23 games and pitched 30 complete games - they don't seem to make 'em like this anymore! Val |

Picked up 4 of the 5 Chase's. Anybody got a decent PSA white cap lying around?

I decided to upgrade my Walter. Please excuse the poor quality scan. The white dots are on the scan, not on the card.
