To finish: Seller responded quickly and nicely, had another person send in concerns, too. "the last thing I ever want to do is sell something that is not what I believe it to be." Nice response.
A few years ago at a flea market in NYC a seller had a stack of dozens of old cabinet cards with freshly printed native american images glued onto them -- they looked pretty convincing, except for the too-good-to-be-true nature of them. After a pause, the guy said, I'm just selling those as reproductions. David |
