Default 1954 Sandy Koufax Scouting Report

Bill Zinser Brooklyn Dodgers scout who first discovered Sandy Koufax in May 1954 and invited him to Ebbets Field for tryout. Original scouting report filled out and dated by Bill Zinser…One of a kind item...

Seriously Phil, that's as cool an item as I've seen pertaining to the Bonus Baby.

It says "PLAYER should fill out this side." Are you sure Sandy didn't fill it out?

Default Koufax item

Graig and Rob thanks very much for your kind words. Rob,the scouting report was definitely filled out by Brooklyn Scout Bill Zinser. The item is pictured and described in (2) Sandy Koufax autobiographies . It is pictured in Jane Leavy's book and described in Edward Gruver …

Default 1940 Crosley Field World Series Banner

To say I'm thrilled about this one is an understatement. Size is approximately 3'x5'. Colors are far more vibrant than the photo portrays.

Thanks.. There is also a version for the 1939 World Series that looks very similar but obviously only reads National League Champions 1939.

Here's two of the first pieces I found since moving to Montreal.
1. Tigers pennant. Not sure of the vintage, but glad to find it.
2. Gorgeous late 19th century bat?
The bat is 35 3/4 in length, with just the very top of the barrel and knob painted black. There also seems to have been a thin ring of grey paint near the top of the barrel?

Fidel Castro original snapshot photo playing for Los Barbudos. Not normally a thing I buy, but it's pretty interesting. Does anyone know what the back of the photo says?

Great pick ups Brent. I'd like to see more of the bat if you have pics - you're only showing a pic of the knob.
