Since I am really new to this whole Prewar stuff, and this is my first E94 I ever owned, Can I get some assistance on this.
I know they came in Green & Olive (among others), but I am not skilled on the shades. What is your opinions, is this green or Olive? Which is more valuable? ESTIMATE the value of this one, please. |

Hi Wesley,
It's olive, but it's a bit lighter than other examples. The phone pic looked even brighter like an E98 shade of green. There wouldn't be much difference in value if it was green instead of olive. Robert |

Dug out my "oddities" for both sets.
In the top scan, you have some e98 scrap cards that were handcut and left with oversized borders in Ford and Coombs. You also have a black and white Ford in the bottom left. Second scan is one of my very favorite cards in my collection - a silver e94! You'll notice that the rest of the color on the card shows up just fine but for some reason this card missed the blue or red or whichever color pass the background was supposed to be which left it as a silver variation. I imagine since this came from a sheet I'm assuming that there are others like this somewhere, kind of like the orange variations. Bottom scan is of a dark green and handcut e94 Bates, also with oversized borders. I also have a red blank-backed e98 Tinker... Fun thread for sure!! e98 scrap 001.jpg e94Doolan.jpg IMG_0240.jpg |

Congrats on your first E94, hope you get many, many more. Pete- If I ever find two violet Murrays, rest assured the second will be on its way to your door. I don't know why the violet one is so tough although I know there are some "violet" collectors out there who buy up all the purple background cards. tbob |

Pete & Bob, hope I'm not rubbing it in but here's my violet Murray. I wasn't sure this existed until I was lucky enough to have a friend help me out with my violet set and part with his. I'll keep you guys in the loop if another pops up.

Pete- Your owning this card is what keeps me going that there is another one out there somewhere that will someday make it to ebay or an auction house. I woefully recognize the fact, though, that I'm probably going to have to get it in a near set or complete set from an auction house and break the lot up and sell the rest of the e94s but it won't be the first time I have had to do that. |

Thanks guys, and I'm sure there are others floating around out there. I need just the Wagner for my set, but if I ever break it up, one of you will get it for sure!
