I read someplace that they are actually a little shorter this year on average. But obviously with all the pitching changes and antics at the plate (and mound) we will never see two hour games again. If you watch clips of even 60s or 70s games, what jumps out immediately is the much faster pace. The pitcher gets the ball back, looks in for the sign, and delivers.
