I think that the "snapshot" of his legal problems covers 7 pages on the internet says it all.

Default Scum!

I am almost positive that this is the guy that I shipped a signed Yankee Team baseball with Gehrig to in the late 1980s for him to consign in an auction. Well......we all know how that turned out! Being a starving College kid, I did not have the wherewithal or the resources to chase him as he constantly had excuses as to when my money was coming etc.... He finally just broke contact and I had not even thought about it until I saw this post. Absolute scumbag. Deserves everything they can throw at him.

Mike

I wonder when Peter Nash will write about this fraudster? I mean he must be really double and triple checking his facts and sources before he breaks it out on Hauls of Shame.

I don't know for certain what the relationship is between Rogers and Nash but it wouldn't surprise me if Nash chose not to write about Rogers if indeed the two are friends or if Nash is involved in some of Rogers' business dealings. After all, he can put whatever he wants on HOS as it's his site and he contributes all the content to it. It's not like he runs an open forum with contributions from the hobby public.

Actually that's not true at all...his blog posts can be responded to by anyone, he has a lot of regular commenters including Dorothy Seymour Mills.

And the relationship between Nash and Rogers is business...Rogers loaned Nash money. Why? I have no idea, but I have suspicions.

A comments section is different than a board made up of equal contributors is what I meant.

And who believes anything Mike O'Keeffe writes? That guy? I wouldn't trust him at all. He's no good.

On his most recent blog posts about the NYPL, there were a number of apparently fake comments attributed to Net 54 posters. EDIT TO ADD I may have missed Dan's sarcasm here if I did oops. In any event there are many familiar names "commenting" on his blog who obviously did not post the comments.

Yes, he or one of his minions took several quotes from Net54 postings and posted them as if Net54 members were responding to his "blog"...he or one of his minions like to make comments and use the name "Dan" or "Barry S."

Here is a document showing the amounts of unsecured loans he gave to Peter Nash over a short period of time. Perhaps Mr Nash can now bail out Mr Rogers?

Open forums really mean nothing because as soon as the subject matter gets sticky for whoever runs the forum the threads get locked or deleted. They are only open IF people don't bash the owner/owners business. This is a constant problem over on the CU board and many others.

It is the right of any private message board, including this one, to cease, delete or otherwise censor a discussion. Now, that does not mean it's always correct to do so but the owner has the right to do what they wish.

Yes Rich I agree, it is 100% the owners right to do what ever they want on their forum just like Peter Nash can do whatever he wants on his website. My comment was just pointing out open forums are never really open.

No, like bad Mantle bats and baseballs, 8x10s of Mantle, Williams, DiMaggio. This is not an Arkansas/Missouri thing. There is back and forth and passing the stuff along by people in both states.

I'm just glad the stuff I bought from Rogers nobody except me would ever buy. Well, I'm glad until I decide to sell it to no one.

Rogers fraud is off the charts....is there a sliding scale for gift baskets for these guys? Sort of like the standard wedding anniversary gifts. You know like 1mm in fraud is paper, 2mm in fraud is silver and so on.....

BTW, if there was ever a photo worthy of an entire thread of PhotoShop fun it's this one. I mean was this guy busted for sports memorabilia fraud or for hanging out near a Chuck E Cheese?

I saw this photo last night just after coming back from the gym. Fortunately, I only had to shower once.

"Alleged serial fraudster John Rogers was arrested last night at the Fox & Hound sports tavern in North Little Rock."

Any chance he paid his bill there before he got escorted out? Hopefully they got him before his order of wings were ready.

Fox & Hounds Tavern has announced their daily special is a Buck Rogers; a dollar hot dog that is shilled to cost no more than $10 to any customer willing to make the gamble. Warning, dog may be counterfeit, or Type 2.
