Jeff,
It was really nice meeting you and your sons in Chantilly. I'm really bummed that I didn't go to the National this year. When I tried a FB meet-up a few years ago at the National, no one showed up. So be glad 2 others showed up with you. ![]() Have a safe trip back home, if not already. |

Jeff, Zack thought he was going to pass out or die if he didn't go to McDonalds, so I took him there. Looked for last night at Gibson's |

No worries Jeff I was there from 11:55 to 12:10 or so I should have screamed out "Net 54" ! Next year friend. I'll post the story when I get home it's to hard to type on my phone. Ill resurrect the Post Football thread and post it there.

how was the show? I've never been but maybe one day would like to venture up there perhaps.

I thought the show was just OK from a vintage football collectors perspective. Yes, there were plenty of cards to look through but I didn't see the large variety of unique and interesting pieces of memorabilia / cards that you usually see at the National. Mike B (finalscore) and I were talking about this and were wondering whether all of the auction houses that have popped up have made it just so easy and convenient for people to consign items that the dealers aren't getting the rare, unique stuff as much any longer to bring to shows.
Certainly if you were looking to complete post-war football sets, there were plenty of tables to dig through binders, boxes, and display cases to do so but that's all stuff you can find on ebay every day. I saw a few odd ball cards from difficult sets but not as many as I've seen at the National in the past. jeff |
