Thanks Richard. I'm looking more for a flatbed scanner, I think.

I think my question has been answered. Thanks to all who helped. This thread can die it's natural death now.

Dunno if this will help, but you can take photos with your iPhone or iPad and use those for scans. Mount your device and open iPhoto and import to your computer.

This would be a "photo" not a scan.

Scans are infinitely better for selling flat items like cards than trying to take a photo with an ipad or iPhone - or any other camera.
